Job Description

Job Summary

Examine and analyze records and processes of the Corporation to assess the effectiveness of departmental controls, internal organizational controls, accuracy of financial and other records, and compliance and efficiency of operations. Adhere to the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies or procedures.
• Examine records of departments and conducts interviews of staff members to ensure proper and acceptable recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Review records pertaining to material assets, such as equipment and buildings, and staff to determine degree to which they are utilized. Inspect accounting systems, IT systems, gaming system and other Corporation systems to determine efficiency and protective value. Follow up with recommendation of controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity,
• Summarize and prepare reports of findings and recommendations for review by VP of Internal Audit.
• Conduct special studies for management such as those required to discover mechanics of detected fraud and to develop controls for fraud prevention.
• Assist in the preparation of internal audit reports and materials for exit conferences.
• Assist in preparing the annual internal audit plan and programs for individual audit assignments.
• Conduct follow-up reviews on significant audit findings.
• Perform other duties within the scope of job assignment as required or requested by supervisor.

Salary Range

$47,476.00 - $64,974.80

The salary range above reflects pay on an annual basis. A candidate's work experience and education will be considered when making a salary offer.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in business, accounting, or information systems. Related experience as acquired through internship and/or training in auditing (ie: public accounting, internal auditing, or information systems auditing) preferred. High degree of proficiency in verbal and written communications, and high proficiency in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel) is required.
