Job Description

:
Responsible for leading team in generation of new business leads and identifying expansion opportunities with existing customers. Oversees a variety of economic development activities including project management, product development and marketing that are designed to create new jobs and capital investment in the communities Entergy serves by working with state, regional and local economic development partners and allies.


Job Responsibilities:

:
Manages prospect activity including RFI/RFP response, project management, site visits, and cost estimates for electrical facilities and rates.
:
Actively engages with site selectors, company executives, business owners, brokers and public officials to encourage companies to locate or expand in Louisiana.
:
Manages competitive commercial and residential development projects where customer has choice between Entergy and the rural electric cooperatives.
:
Establishes/improves external relationships with Economic Development Organizations, Real Estate Developers, Engineering firms, local government officials, ports, rail providers, other utility providers.
:
Identifies and compiles a combined list of sites and buildings using specific factors to determine suitability for site certification.
:
Designs, organizes, markets, and conducts tours, seminars, workshops, meetings, banquets, conferences, etc., to promote Entergys economic/community development activities.
:
Builds and develops a high performing business development team within a defined territory to drive revenue growth initiatives.
:
Develops the annual marketing and relationship building strategies and coordinates activities by prioritizing work assignments and setting goals for the team and individual employees.
:
Monitors economic market conditions, competitor activities and develops relevant analytical reports and presentations.
:
Attends and presents at external customer meetings and internal meetings to aid business development.
:
Responsible for leading two teams in generating new business leads and identifying expansion opportunities with existing commercial and residential developers.


Minimum Education Requirement:


Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or equivalent work experience is required. MBA and/or post graduate work is a plus.
