SUMMARY
NOTE: This position requires extensive travel, both domestic and international. Prospective applicants should reside anywhere in the U.S within a reasonable driving distance from a major airport. Candidates must be U.S citizens or be a Legal U.S resident with
current Green Card
Primary duties are to perform maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical as well as instrumentation and controls of GE equipment and other manufacturer equipment. The Instrumentation, Electrical and Controls (I-E &C) Technician could also be operating, maintaining,
calibrating , troubleshooting and repairing the plants instrumentation, electrical and control devices. Major equipment covered under this position will include, but not be limited to different type of turbines, compressor, reciprocating engines, generators,
transformers, pumps, motors, related auxiliary and ancillary equipment. Perform work in the checking, inspecting, repair, maintenance, and installation of plant building and grounds equipment and structures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Takes personal responsibility to incorporate safe behavior into all activities and consistently complies with all established safety and health policies and procedures, helps to identify, and eliminate or actively manage risks in all work activities.
+ Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
+ Provide documentation of work performed, supplies used, and other items that will be required to plan and control maintenance activities. Prepare records and reports as required.
+ Perform corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance on electrical switchgear, process controls, transmitters, gauges and other instrumentation and control equipment in accordance with plant and vendor procedures.
+ Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance.
+ Perform basic predictive and preventive maintenance work by inspecting, monitoring, lubricating, troubleshooting and testing plant equipment to determine conditions such as wear, corrosion and deposits.
+ Perform inspections and basic corrective maintenance activities on plant equipment and components as directed.
+ Perform basic technical work in industrial hygiene and environmental testing and calculations related to the operating efficiency of power plant equipment.
+ Perform work in conjunction with the plant electrical systems, detection and repair of single loop control systems, electronic devices, communication systems and instruments such as meters, gauges, and regulators.
+ Assist in conducting tests and inspections to ensure proper operation of the plant.
+ Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
+ Assist others in conducting tests, surveys and layout work.
+ Demonstrate ability to work with others at all levels.

+ Relay Logic Controls and Troubleshooting
+ Electronic Wiring & Layout
+ HH Voltage Wiring & Layout
+ Programmable Relays Setup (Older analog types with manual timers & configurations and newer digital relays & timers as well)
+ Programmable Timers Setup
+ Tubing & Instrument Layout
+ Performed Controls & Instrument loop checks (Process Control Instrumentation Calibration rated required?)
+ Performed HMI / SCADA system dialog & SCADA Field devices integrity checks (Various types A/B Wonderware / Citect / VTScada / etc..)
+ Verified IO checks on remote IO loops and nodes.
+ Microsoft Office / Various Programs
+ Internet and E-mail Training
+ Knowledgeable In:
+ PLC Logic Control Systems and IO troubleshooting (Various types? A/B / Siemens / Micrologic / GE Fanuc / GE Mark V , Vie etc..)
+ Drafting & Blueprint creation (See Below)
+ Troubleshooting Matrix creation
+ Performed Controls & Instrument loop checks Performed HMI / SCADA system dialog & SCADA Field devices integrity checks
+ Verified IO checks on remote IO loops and nodes.
+ Plant control loops testing the plant. Control panel retrofitting as needed Continental
+ Control Corps AGV-10 Fuel Control Valve in preparation for a full PLC transition
+ PID Loop Tuning on Manual Instruments and Automated Devices (PLC based PID algorithms)
+ HART Communicator interface knowledge and Configuration
+ Vibration Devices Calibration (Accelerometers / Proximity Probes / Velocity Coils) & Various Vendors I.E., Bently Nevada, Meggitt, IOtech, Metrix.
+ Fiber Optic Installation knowledge and layout with fiber connection devices
+ Communication Protocols Knowledge (ControlNet / Profibus / Hart / KepWare / etc.)
+ Knowledge of P&ID drawings and layouts
+ Familiarity with various drawing programs (Autocad / Visio / etc..)
+ Familiarity with Grounding Checks & Meggers
+ Familiarity with High Voltage Switchgear & Protection Relays.
+ Capacity to layout cables, conduit, instrument racks, etc. work with field fitters on cable trays, potential support arrangement for such components (instrument rack, instrumentation, cable tray, etc. ) in a manner to prevent resonance/vibration. etc.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
+ Technical certification or associated degree (electrical or electronics), or former U.S. Military electrical Systems Technician is preferred.
+ 4 years experience as a instrumentation and Controls and electrical technician ( I-E &C)
+ Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is highly desiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Must be able and willing to work long hours
+ Must be able and willing to work weekly schedules that are not uniform on a day-to-day basis
+ Must be able and willing to work in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold) for extended periods of time
+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to climb ladders and steps
